Trash 2 Treasure

Trash 2 Treasure

We are a small family enterprise that promotes upcycling as a way of keeping trash from landfill sites.

We take the trash and turn it into items to treasure.

T2T wants to share some of our ideas and thoughts with you on recycling, upcycling, re purposing and crafting.

After all, lately we have become a beacon for 'Trash' having many people turn up on the door step saying
'can you use this?' So before you do throw anything away think 'What would Di do?'

With old coasters?

Everyone has old coffee stained coasters, why not jazz them up with a map taken from an obselete atlas...Choose a special memorable place or just a pretty pattern of roads, mountains or coastline ...they really do look fab with some high gloss varnish. Why stop at coasters, why not make matching placemats too ?

With cat food pouches!

The majority of our family own cats. I have one, my daughter has one, my mother in law has one, my sister in law has two... and this means we all get through a load of cat food pouches and you can't recycle these. so trying to be as eco friendly as possible we had a brain storm and came up with the idea of making them into bags. Much like the juice packet bags you get.

We cut them open and bleach them (to ensure they are properly clean), then stitch them into panels and fabric line them for hand bags or plastic line them for art tote bags. They have become very popular and we now sell them at craft fairs and in a local gift shop.

Most of all, we want to encourage people to think before they through things in the bin. Ask yourself "What would Di do with that?" and you, too, could become more eco friendly :)
